Every year we are lucky enough to travel to the Fields family mountain getaway. It is beautiful, rustic, drizzly (this year), wet and dirty. We played in the river, ate a ton of yummy food, hiked, laughed, listened, sang, drove, shopped, swung (I don't think swang is a word...) and loved every minute.
Benjamin loved his Indian headdress - and got much use out of it! Here I am with the two boys after leaving the horse races. Benjamin promptly fell right after this picture and spilled his whole Sprite. Not happy.
Gazing at the river in the early morning light.
I have so many more pictures but parenthood calls. On to laundry (oh! there is always laundry) and planning for the next adventure....
For those wondering, bethanyfields.com is coming soon!
This family is the best - relaxed, fun, willing to bring accordians and various props. Loved every minute of hanging out with them, playing with their adorable (oh my look at their beautiful eyes!!) children and trying to avoid mosquitoes. Mosquito? (Potatoe? Tomato?)
First we posed:
Then we played (Oh couldn't you swim in her eyes?)
What a good mama.
And fun baby.
I wasn't lyin' about the accordian.
And who doesn't love a merry-go-round?
With a family as cute and loving as this, it's easy to get great shots. :)
Happy July 4th this weekend!

And just because she's so darn cute.....
I told you I had been working on some! Here is one of them....all bright and shiny (well, really soft and cuddly) and ready to put into the shop later today. I'll let you know as soon as I list them.
In other news, Benjamin is graduating pre-k today! We're excited as is he. He's worked so hard all year and has learned so much under the guidance of his wonderful teachers. We had a fun preschool party yesterday at "Mesquite Ranch" outside of town. Neat place with lots of "horsin'" around. haha. Of course I want to post pictures of that. I've missed doing my morning series (my actual mornings have been so crammed I haven't had time to pick this back up...soon!)
Anyway, just a quick update. More later.....
busy, busy, busy, busy. not finding any time to write, take pictures or even check email. end of school fast approches and all the activities that with it comes.
i posted some new art in the shop! exciting! and some new kits! wahoo!!! worked on some new pillows yesterday. yeehaw!
random: i am getting tired of picking up apple peel from all over the house. it was cute the first time she (meaning miss g) took a bite out of all my apples. when she does it over and over and over and over and then proceeds to chew the pieces up and spit them out all over the house? not so cute.
